lgranch
Basically the engines are the same. Post 96 they increased the displacement, but the disign remained simliar. The real issue is carb vs injectors. That is where you need the proper computer program.
JeepRescueService14
ha forgot to mention.. jwt stage 2 cams. im unfamiliar with the Nissan fi systems.
MatterHorn
it will run fine, idle will be high, and wont smog worth a crap - but great power ... would be worth while to fit some headers and have the ECU programmed for BOTH the headers and the cams ... signifigant power gain, minimal fuel consumption - if there is such a thing with a Nissan ... be aware that the longblock that is in that rig, is from an 90 300ZX - it isn't worth swapping to a 95 ... its the SAME motor ... just so you know ... also the crank is the long style ... in other words the harmonic balancer and timing gear have independent key ways ... unlike the earlier style cranks ... 88pathoffroad
lgranch: THERE WAS NEVER A CARBURETED Pathfinder SOLD IN THE USA. They were all TBI until 1990 when they went to the VG30E MPFI setup. V6 AND 4-cylinders.
JeepRescueService14
im not movin to a 95 block for power... its just i happen to have a spare Pathfinder sittin around, and the trans is goin south so ill do a ring and bearing job on my 95 engine, some cams and lifters, headers, a new t belt and toss the tranny in while im at it.. i know on some of the ford systems if you change the cams out to some beasty bumpstick they dont like to run right
