help! bleeding 88 brakes

i'm attempting to bleed my brakes on a beater 88 v6, i know what i need to do, i just can't find a bleeder on the rear drum brakes, also the chilton book says i need to bleed the load sensing proportioning valve, where would that be. i love my truck, but she's testing me.

There is a bleeder screw at the top of the drum setup on the back. It's right next to the input line.

 

Some trucks didn't have the proportioning valve. Mine doesn't. It should be located up on the frame above the axle and have the brake lines going in and out of it for the rear axle.

88, thanks for the reply, i know its sounds stupid and simple, but bear with me. above my brake line input there is only a threaded nub, no bolt to turn to release pressure, any thoughts? I removed all rust, etc and this is all i can find.

The "threaded nub" is your bleeder valve. Unscrew it. Should be 8mm.

you probably don't have one then... not many US trucks had them that i am aware of...
