I bought my pathfinder before I even knew how to drive stick- because I wanted it THAT bad! She's packed up with survival gear and I could live for quite a while out of her if need be. It isn't a rock crawler, but it is very reliable once a few precautions/upgrades are addressed. I'm sure we could walk you through most repairs, there is a lot of experience here. Survival gear and living out of the Pathy, wouldn't that be called Tuesday in Wyoming? Seriously though, even in my populated area, I have oil, water (distilled for drinking/vehicle), sleeping bag, jacket, medical pack, etc. Just no food...
