I am currently trying to convert my automatic (4 speed) to a manual (5 speed) and i could not find any information on the wires coming out of either transmission. The manual needs a little work before i put it in i just would like to know what each wire does what and if there ones on the automatic that will work for the manual? i will try to post pictures soon.

When I did a manual swap in my 1987 200SX, I made a jumper plug so the car thought it was always in P or N so it would start. Basically went through the plug and jumped two pins until I found the correct pair for the starter to engage. The reverse lights were on a separate plug and that just plugged in.
