R50 swing out tire carrier, So. California

Anaheim Pick-Your-Part have an R50 swing out tire carrier if anyone in So Cal is looking for one. It's off a 1996 SE.

Just out of curiosity..... How would one mount one if it did NOT come stock with one? Or can it? I assume it would need some more "meat" to mount to next to the taillight?

With the WD21 there are brackets that are mounted on the inside corner to bolt to and distribute the weight; I can only imagine the R50 is the same.

One way is to fab a rear bumper & mount the tire carrier to that, this is what I was going to do with a WD21 carrier I have.

You would probably have to pull that section of the rear quarter, I'm not sure of what is exactly back there, but you'll need all of it, especially if you are running 30" plus size tires and steel wheels.
