96se4x4
I posted this in the R50 forum and was trold I should try here.I did the timing belt/water pump replacement on my 96 pathfinder. i feel like an idiot but I can't figure out how to put the belt tensioners back on.Could someone tell me where/how they go.Im desperate.I think the ac bracket goes in the 2 holes by the ac compresser but the alternator I can figure out.It just doesnt seem right no matter how i try. Also I lost a bolt for the power steering bracket. The one near the oil pump.does anyone know what size that bolt is. Thanks.
Precise1
No, you are missing a bracket that mounts across the top, and it looks like the tensioner mounts to that. The tensioner will be above the water pump pully and slightly to the left. I'll see if I can find a picture... As for the missing bolt, I'd guess m8, but just a guess. Can you measure the hole ID with a pair of calipers? The ID will be aproximately the OD minus the pitch... B

theexbrit
Here's the basic layout, With B's photos & this you should be able to "Git 'er dun:" PS. Don't worry about the bolt, whenever I work on my vehicle I always have a box full of nuts & bolts left over! Edited September 30, 2013 by theexbrit
