RS5000 Shock Parts? HELP!

Hey, I just got new shocks, and one of the RS5116s came with two little gray metal sleeves that just happened to fit right inside the mounting holes for the shock... a little 1/2" long or so piece of metal tubing sort of stuff with a cut down one side.

 

The other shock (same PN) didn't so much have these two little metal bits... Anyone else remember theirs coming with them or not?
