Pathfinders and Windy Days

Have a 01 Path. Is it me or does this car not like wind at highway speeds? Car control seems more susceptible to wind than other SUVs I've owned or driven. Funny as the thing seems smaller/more hunkered down than most.

Also, any chance that silly rear window spoiler comes into play at higher speeds (into play in a way you don't want it to)?

The rear window spoiler is more for diverting air across the rear glass to help shed rain water while you drive, not for NASCAR-type aerodynamics. A spoiler on a Pathy would be about as useful as the silly looking one's people slap on the trunk of their civics. Neither goes fast enough to really have one come into play.

Not to mention the fact that civics are FWD, so putting a spoiler on the trunk would decrease traction if it actually worked. But to answer the original question, my pathy seemed to do better on windy highways after I installed new shocks and struts. The OEM ones are pretty soft (at least on the 96-99, don't know if they changed anything or not for the 99.5+) ;)
