thndrwhls
I am looking to increase the height of the arm rest in my 89 2 door. I have noticed that some later year models have taller armrests, is it pretty easy to swap them out? Joe
88pathoffroad
I think so, but the arc-shaped linkage that limits how far the lid opens might be different. I've seen one guy take a Jeep Grand Cherokee center console and make it fit in his 90+ Pathy. EricMenze has a 99 console in his '92. I guess if you remove your stock console, get a different one, and can make it fit, whatever floats your boat will be good.
Earth1
I have a center console that has 2 cupholders under the lid. It sits the same height as the door armrest. Really comfy. It screws right over the lower console. Don't know how common it is, but they are out there. Or, were you wanting to go higher than that?
