Trogdor636
Part of the VG family. 90-95 Pathfinders were a VG30E, Z32's came with a VG30DE or a VG30DETT. Edited September 1, 2012 by Trogdor636

Tungsten
The VG30E and VG30DETT are completely different motors. VG30E has 5 head bolts per cylinder while the VG30DE and VG30DETT has 4 head bolts per cylinder. Also, the VG30E is a simpler and possibly more reliable motor than a VG30DE. A VG30E and VG30DE both make about the same power until 4000 rpm. You can see why Nissan went with a VG30E for their truck instead of a VG30DE. http://www.datsuns.c.../ohv_vs_ohc.htm Edited September 1, 2012 by Tungsten
