Guest fred01le Posted December 7, 2004 Share Posted December 7, 2004 I have an 01 LE model that I bought used, with the Bose 6 disc CD changer. At different times while driving, if the radio is off, the CD player will come on for no reason. If the Radio is on, the CD player will come on and shut the radio off. Sometimes many times in a row, sometimes once and that's it. There seems to be no pattern to this other than when the vehicle is moving and there is slight vibration in the road. Rough roads do not seem to affect it. I have gone for days and the radio is normal, never cycling off and on. Anyone have a clue what to look for or what I can do about this? vengeful Posted December 8, 2004 Share Posted December 8, 2004 There are a few documented issues with the 01 6-disk changer, however, I am not very familiar with them or their solutions. Hopefully someone with a little more experience in this area can help you. If all else fails, it's a good excuse to get an aftermarket system with satellite radio. JB3829 Posted December 9, 2004 Share Posted December 9, 2004 I don't think Bose makes the head unit. I have a '97 but was told that Clarion makes the head unit and the speakers are Bose.
