Adelard of Bath
I have a 93 and I was daydreaming about perhaps making pockets/nets/shelves or something and attatching them to the roof of the truck (inside) but I don't want to go around drilling holes in bad places etc. Anyone know what the headliner looks like up there? I could take it down myself and check it out, but presumably others have been there already. I had a truck one time that had sheetmetal above the headliner, then an airspace of probably an inch, then the metal roof (outside of truck) so if the pathy is like that, I could put sheetmetal screws up into it and it would be awesome! But some cars don't have this airspace up in the roof, so a sheetmetal screw would go right through the roof and I dont want that. If I have to, I could also remove the headliner, attatch things to headliner, and put headliner back up.
88pathoffroad
There are mounting ribs in the roof under the headliner, I think you'll have to pull the headliner down at the front and find where it's safe to screw things to. It's not that hard to get under the headliner at the front.
