Torque Converter Override

I was reading through old posts and I saw this:

 

Full manual control over torque converter lockup is very nearly the same thing. There is a thread around here on how to perform the mod.

I'm still left wondering if that is the same function as the Overdrive on/off button on R50's.

I'm 99% sure it isn't the same as the O/D button on R50s. The O/D button prevents the tranny from using 4th gear (overdrive). This mod controls the torque converter lock up solenoid. However it works backwards from what I thought. I want to force the converter to stay locked up when in 3rd or 4th. I may start just by adding the indicator light for reference.
