TugboatTony Posted February 2, 2012 Share Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) so.....I bought another round dash guage cluster for my puddpuller as the tach was a crazy bastard. The replacement cluster worked great for a month then started to do the same thing. I ripped it apart, pulled the head unit out and disected it. I sprayed the piss out of the windings and circuit board with electronics cleaner and scrubbed it all with a tooth brush, put it back together and now it works like it should! It's been two weeks now and hasn't acted up since so I'll cross my fingers this fixed it. If only I'd thought of this with the original. Just thought I'd throw this out there as it's easy enough to try (not to mention way cheaper) instead of pulling your hair out trying to find a replacement.
