winnipegjohnston
Hey guys. So I have a line on a nice set of Titan rims w/ tires (285/70/18) = 33" overall diameter. Would these work on a 2001 pathfinder fit with OME or AC coils? (I don't want to trim to make fit) Thanks
kefferjoe
You will get rubbing on turns and stuff but you're good if you don't mind a little rubbing....or driving straight
devonianwalk
Is there any information on the Titan wheel back spacing?
5523Pathfinder
The center of the hub wont fit. You have to have it bored out to clear the hub. I have seen this done either at a machine shop or I had seen a guy to it with a router and a special bit. I had a 91 hardbody and put the stock 18's from a QX56(different wheel than the Titan). I did a bunch of research on how to make them fit. It is not a bolt on swap. If you did bore them out, yeah, you might rub. Not many have done it so you might be a guinea pig! Here is some info(note- this is not 4x4 friendly).......... http://infamousnissan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11646 Edited December 29, 2011 by 5523Pathfinder
clkindred
18 inches of rim!!!? You like the "bling" do ya? Hate to see the selection of tires 18" rims gives you. Or is it good?
linkinpark
I have 33 inch tires with 5 inch back spacing. Not a single bit of rubbing. I do have the ac coils up front but even without them they didn't rub.
winnipegjohnston
Thanks for all of the replies guys...very helpful. I'm not sure that I want to spend the extra $$ on getting the rims bored out. I'll give a couple of wheel shops a call tomorrow and see what the pricing on something like that might be. JamesRich
I remember a while back a guy posted a picture of his R50 with 18" titan wheels. I don't remember the lift he had but he did have to bore the centers out. I had 18s on my titan when I bought it and changed them out for a set of factory 20s. There aren't many options for tire sizes in 18" and they were more expensive then the same hight tire for a 20" rim. You will probably be better off with 15 or 16" wheels. 5523Pathfinder
I think 17's are now the common offroad tire size.
