what is the symptoms of a bad EGR valve?? i have changed alot of sensor in my truck and spent way to much $$ my ecu shows 55 but my truck still runs like crap and when it's warmed up it will not start until it cools down after an hour or so.

 

 

things i've changed...........

-- fuel pump, feul filter, temp. sensor, TPS, MAF, knock sensor, cap & rotor, plugs & wires, water pump, timing belt, and thermostat. now i'm thinking EGR.

If you are suspecting the EGR valve, you can test it by pushing up on the diaphragm and see if it moves up and down.

Yes, exactly, IIRC at idle with it warm it should make the motor stumble a bit.

 

For good troubleshooting info, go to the Garage section/pinned service manual info to download your own copy of the Factory Service Manual. It is invaluable for this type of information...

ok EGR works fine. i'm lost now dont know what to do at this point.

Vacuum leak? Check the timing itself? Injectors?

 

But yeah, look in the FSM... they have troubleshooting procedures for all kind of symptoms.

what bout the throttlebody its self?

A vacuum leak or bad MAF sensor wiring will make it run like garbage.
