ahardb0dy
I saw this in Ace hardware last week but it did not have a price on it, this weekend I went to get some contact cement and had one of the workers check the price for me, it was only $14 so I decided to pick it up, just wanted to share in case someone might be looking for one of these. with a terminal on end of wire in it:
devonianwalk
Nice. In the past I have had success using a pair of vice grips and a steel nail carefully placed to "crimp" the terminal. Edited October 23, 2011 by devonianwalk
ahardb0dy
I have always done the "terminal in the vise and tighten the hell out of it method", LOL
SilverPath
They are awesome, I've been using mine for sometime now. Though sometimes I like the clean look of a soldered joint.
Mr.510
I have a similar crimper, most welding stores stock them. When I make battery cables I crimp and then solder them so corrosion cannot get between the strands of the cable. I also use a piece of really heavy duty heat shrink over the top. Cables made this way pretty much last forever. I made the ones in one of my 510s in about 1990 and they are still good as new.
