Lower rad support

My 98 was parked for 2 years sloping downwards at the front - it collected water so the lower rad support is completely shot and the new part is in.

Any tips on how to replace this? How shud I hold up the rads without removing them. I know all the bolts are going to snap( like everything else I've replaced so far) so I'll have to drill and tap the existing holes out before installing the new rad support. I hope that if any members have any advice before I start this job U wud send it my way pls. I've installed a new driver's side front fender and new bumper - been drilling and tapping a lot of new threads so far so ..more to come.

Nissan part number 62500-0W700 will get you everything you need for replacement, This is the radiator support assembly with all the pieces and bolts. Basically remove the old support and slap the new one on.

I've never dealt with cancer on a unibody but my guess would be remove all the rusted parts and weld up the new replacement parts and paint the parts to prevent rusting.

Thanx - Actually - it's a bolt on pc - a big one - $140 - I will have to get sum paint on it before installing - there's lotz of stuff to remove that's fer shur...I'll let ya know how it goes after I get my brake lines fixed. I'm shur I'll B busting all the rusted nutz and bolts off just like my fender and bumper replacement...there's lotz of bolts to had at the local TSC store for a descent $.

If ya got any advise on doing this job - I'm all ears - Thanx man.

You could put some antisieze on the nuts and bolts to prevent them from rusting shut. From experience when I repaired my front end, I ordered cheap replacement parts body parts which came from China. They do look like the OE but are nowhere near the strength of OEM because the aftermarket parts use a thinner gauge steel. I was better off grafting used parts from a donor vehicle from the get go to save on costs. the only thing I managed to salvage from the wreck was the center bracket pictured in the middle of the radiator support. It really beefed up the radiator support from buckling down.
