Engine stalling out

My 1995 Pathfinder XE-V6 has been stalling out whenever it comes to a stop or while idling without any added gas. The problem started when the weather turned colder and rainy and usually occurs after 15-30 minutes of driving. When it is not moving the rpms constantly oscillate between 0-500 rpm and this continues until the engine can't pull out of 0 rpms and just dies. Even better is when I slow down to turn through an intersection and my truck just stalls out, leaving me to coast the rest of the way through the intersection without power steering.

 

I don't know I should do to fix this problem. Thanks for any help,

While it idles rough, pop the hood and grab the wire and connector on top of your MAF sensor. Wiggle and stuff and see if it makes a difference. A broken wire or bad connection on this sensor will cause your symptoms. Easy to check, Fairly easy to fix if this is your problem.

Have you run the ECU for any codes? Mine did this when the knock sensor died. It would run fine when cold until it switched from the pre-programmed loop the ECU uses at start-up to when it went to normal operating. It wouldn't idle to save its life, just hover around a couple hundred RPM's or do the up and down business and eventually die. Hopefully its something else like the MAF sensor though, cause the knock sensore is a pain.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was checking out the MAF sensor and noticed that the air filter wasn't closed completely. Since then I've been driving fine and i hope that the air measurements were off because of the filter seal was leaking.
