99 with Ca emmisions stuff?

I was told by my mech that he thinks my pathy is a California rig. the tag under the hood lists California first, like it says meets California and US regs. is this true? with California listed first does it indeed make it california smog legal? and if so, what the heck is different? thanks guys

Yep, I looked, took a picture and forgot to post it...

 

It babbles something about being a vehicle legally viable for commerce in the state of California. The answer is yes, if it says this it is most likely Cal model and not a 49 state unit. What is the difference for these vehicles? I really don't know but sometimes it goes as far as ECUs tuned slightly differently more smog control rather than power or whatnot. It really shouldn't make much of a difference other than it having less rust...

cool thanks, just wanted to see if there was a difference in things such as plug wires, cap and rotor. I also know (or suspect) my maf might be acting up and wasnt sure if it would have a different part # or anything. thanks!
