  1. yeah, just hoping to get the pair for a bit less than $300. the cheaper the better lol!
  2. I had thought of that, but finding a rust free pair (I should have said he wants to do both as they are starting to rust) is going ot be hard here in NH and my father in law is able to do paintwork, so thats not a huge deal. thanks!
  3. like it says, I am looking for fenders. whats the cheapest place you guys have found for replacements? its for my old early build 99, not a 99.5. sold it to the sister in law, and she promptly backed into a fire hydrant lol! thanks guys!
  4. good point.. http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-r50-1996-2004/genuine-nissan-parts/bodyfrontroof-floor/750-member/-c-4700_4701_4825_4848.html thats the parts diagram. I think they call it an outrigger. its REALLY expensive at $38... http://www.courtesyparts.com/74800aa-outrigger-1st-pathfinder-r50-1996-2004-p-206009.html
  5. looks like yours is getting crusty for sure. how is the rear frame around where the swaybar mounts are?
  6. so I need to take the rubber off to get the metal inserts off?? tanks, very helpfull!
  7. toolbag has the tool, as said before. look in the manual, tells you to use it
  8. I would let it drip and keep an eye on it, if its too much to spend to get it fixed right now. whats the general condition of everything else? rust? any other little issues? or big ones?
  9. the metal corner pieces are loos on both side, look like the plastic pop things are broken. but I can seem to figure out how to get them off to replace or at least rig it up tight so they arent rattling. help!
  10. so being that my inner fender was rubbing on the steering shaft I am betting they would have called that unsafe?? I thought it was, I towed it on a flatbed to the bodyshop and they cleaned up the rail till they found shiny metal to weld to . a good shop will make it safe
  11. agreed, mine looks like new now. nissan seels the tower as a whole, just weld it in http://www.partsfornissans.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214024&chapter=&Sectionids=0,2399&groupid=51837&subgroupid=2405&componentid=0&make=25&model=Pathfinder&year=1999&graphicID=3617095&callout=1&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0
  12. I promise it will be worse if the thing fails while you are driving!! you can always skip it and get it repaired on your own like I did. I wasnt trying to skip the recall though, it just had not happened yet when I fixed mine
  13. I know mine was a $1200 fix. the body shop replaced the entire front apron, it is listed as a "collision part"
  14. this is what mine looked like. about 200k miles for those interested http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a93/eric00si/1999%20pathfinder/
  15. so what if you were like me and had it blow out already (rubbing on the steering shaft) and had it repaired at a body shop for about $1500?? any chance of getting some cash back on that repair? happened the day after I bought it, and it SUCKED lol
  16. cool thanks, just wanted to see if there was a difference in things such as plug wires, cap and rotor. I also know (or suspect) my maf might be acting up and wasnt sure if it would have a different part # or anything. thanks!
  17. funny, the same thing nearly happened to my pathy, what with the front end rotting off...
  18. also curious. and how would you check the dizzy?
  19. I was told by my mech that he thinks my pathy is a California rig. the tag under the hood lists California first, like it says meets California and US regs. is this true? with California listed first does it indeed make it california smog legal? and if so, what the heck is different? thanks guys
  20. I had a '00 Si with Comptech intake header and exhaust. quiet setup, not rice. full stainless and a sound that is actually about what your stock car is now. I loved that thing, the vtec did have a decent hit stock and was much better with the full I/H/E. I would probably still have it if a tree had not fallen on and crushed it. ran great and shifted AMAZING. enjoy it man, they are a nice car for sure!
  21. agreed, i would check that out for sure!
