Electric Fan Instal

Recommended Posts

Stock CFM is in 3000 area

My dual 14" setup is a squeeze but works amazing, auto turns on and off based on temp probe switch which is easy to wire, 180 on 170 off.

Thanks for the info, that's exactly the setup I was thinking about. I may add a manual override just for the heck of it so I can turn it on or off if needed.

Was your fan from a donor vehicle or aftermarket?

Ya I have a manual override switch aswell

My fans were brand new slim fans with 1600cfm each I believe.

Ive seen people be very successful with the the ford taurus electric fan to, which is a little thicker than most slimfans, but packs a whopper of some cfm's and is cheap cheap at junkyards. I think I only paid $120 for my fans and auto on/off kit.

A proper shroud would help alot in effectively cooling the entire rad surface, but my car seems to cool fine and the fans barely turn on. And I like the huge ammount of space you gain getting rid of that huge shroud and fan and get rid of the hand eating deathtrap lmao.
