180sx
So,I have scoured the internet and these forums. Tire manufacturers say a 265/75R15 Tire can fit a 15x10 wheel. I just got these tires used (my old ones were showing the steel belt. ouch!) and Don't think they will clear the strut on my stock 15x7 SE wheels. My assumption being these are closer to 32" than 31", although a tire calculator says that a 15" is 31" and 16 is 32". Can anyone confirm these? I would like to put these on my stock wheels so I can mount real 32's on the 15x10 since I'll be getting some OME springs at the end of the month (anyone have these for sale?). Thanks guys! pathfounder
My 97 had 265/70R15 on it when I got it, and there was tons of room with the factory 6-spoke alloys. I am now running 31x10.5R15 on the same rims and again, I have a ton of clearance. 265 70 15 = 29.606" 265 75 15 = 30.650" 265 75 16 = 31.650"
exit34rocker1017
Don't really know what you're asking, but a 265/75R16 is a 32x11.5 tire. From what I looked up online, a 265/75R15 is a 31x10.
esy
are you going to standard FLT sizing or staying in P-metric sizing? yes, 265/75/15 is right about a 31" tire. on a 10", i'd go with something wider than a 265 tire. most tire manufacturers max out acceptable wheel applications at about 9" on a 265, which means you'd be stretching your tire to fit that onto a 10" wheel. i'd go with at least a 285 on a 10" wheel. Precise1
Tires are not perfectly size conforming. Here is a good site with details, reviews and actual tire diameters!! http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires/ B

I have 31x10.50R15 now on my 15x10s, so I know it will work. Just didn't know if the tire was closer to 32 or 31 in the 15" size. So now I know I can mount these on the stock wheels no problem. I didn't want to mount them on the 10" wides because of the streching (already stretched nicley with the 31x10.50's, and it's pushing it).
