another F/N problem........

Can I just leave it? What's the worst that could happen? Think it will hold? I rarely go off road, and even then it's just sugar sand and or mud.

I dont recommend you just leave it. All four bolts carry the load, with only two of them holding, bad things are waiting to happen.

Yeah, figured that. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else to see what they did.

Break the other two off or remove them, get a new ball joint and install. It will come with new bolts. I have only 3 on one side but it worries me daily.

Yeah, I never got around to putting locktite on mine after I replaced the bumpstops...makes me nervous

 

 

They only go into the balljoint, so the safest/best thing to do would be just to buy a new BJ and slap it on there...

Guess i'm ordering some parts......mise well do all 4 ball joints.....since the seals are all rotted and leaking anyway.......Rockauto has some.......any brands I should stay away from?

 

Just sent Alkorahil an email for a quote for all 4. Probably won't know till Monday though I'm guessing.....oh well, I can wait I guess.
