power lock question

94 PF, my locks all lock from the door lock knob ( near the window not the button near the window switch), is it normal not to unlock when you pull up on the lock knob?

My94 does the same thing, I read the manual and this is how its supposed to be. I think all the 4doors are that way because they have a lock button on the door switch panel if you wanna get all the doors from inside. However, if you turn the key to unlock the driver door and then turn it again before pulling it out all the doors unlock.

 

My 89 unlocks when I pull the driver door knob but it does not have a button.
