How would i go about seeing if thats it and fixing it????

 

start with the switch thats on the bottm side of the pedal swing by the firewall (stick your head under the dash, you'll see it).

unplug it and put a meeter on the prongs and see if continuity changeds when you poke it with your finger.

then sart tracing the wire you unplugged untill you find a break/short....

thats a start.
