slade420 Posted August 9, 2010 Share Posted August 9, 2010 So after fighting with my torsion bars and getting frustrated i decided to read my Haynes Manual. I think it can help with re-indexing. It says for 4wd models, to take out the adjuster bolt and retainer clip, THEN remove the nuts on the torque arm, allowing you to pull the bar out forwards. just thought id mention it. Precise1 Posted August 9, 2010 Share Posted August 9, 2010 My appologies, you are absolutely correct. We are talking about the front splined socket, correct? I could not remove my bars from them until I had loosened it up, the splines were binding. I never considered pulling the bars out the front, it seemed like there was mor room in the center of the truck. Did you want to add this to the How To thread??
