WARN manual hub interchangeable parts

Alright so I bought some used hubs and they're 27 spline instead of 28 spline...I have a set of 28 spline coming but the waffle springs are rusted together and don't function...so the basis of my question is...are the bodies between the 28 and 27 spline the same but the pressed in bushing with the splines are different so I could interchange the cap assembly? I would assume this is a true statement due to having common parts is cheaper than having completely different hub assemblies...

If anyone has a pre 91 truck with warns and post 91 truck with warns and wants to see if the caps will innerchange for me that would be kick ass...

Thanks!

THe answer is yes...I dug in my spare part box and found my shattered hub...i will pull the pix off my phone and give you the best step by step directions i can...

I broke one of the good hubs learning how to take it apart but the other one is all cleaned up and ready to go...

I think those spline rings can also be bought seperate from warn. they offer a weaker set that is meant to break before your CV does so that you can change it quickly on the trail and finish your day and or get home easy(er).

I don't know if the "strong" rings that come with the hub are available but the "breakable" rings are pretty cheap IIRC.
