Many on here dont even have the original Rear Axle bump stops anymore and you wont have trouble with anything hitting from what I understand. My first 2 pathfinders didn't even have them. Kingman Posted May 19, 2010 Share Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) If you have worn shocks you will need them. Going over bumps with bad shocks will slam the ass end down, the tires will be ripped apart by the inner fenderwell, it'll ride like crap, and it will be hard to control. My old Pathfinder didn't have the stops but had good shocks so it wasn't ever a problem. I thought my rear shocks were good because of how stiff the rear was on my new '88. After taking them off and having the tires rub like crazy and gouge the crap out of my tires I realized the only reason it was stiff was because the shocks were so bad the bump stops hit over every bump.
