Okay i got a buyer for my 1987 V6 Pathfinder engine & 5 speed tranny. So i am thrown into an oblivion of what engine is gonna work also switching to an auto tranny? I need some opinions asap cuz i am seeking the easiest flip flop switch. I am definately gonna have to fab the fart out of the engine mounts ect wiring harness (electrical) but what would work and fit without to much hacking?

I want at least a 350ci engine..

I have V6 exhaust thats brand new also that is up for grabs.... Dunno if buyer wants it also?

Canada Tire Has a mastercraft 177 piece set lifetime warrranty regularly worth 259.99 Plus taxes selling this week fort 79.99. Worth every bloody penny for those who wrench pathfinders in the driveway.... :D

there is no swap that would be "easy" to do ... just less complicated ... besically ... you can put whatever you want in there ... but it is up to you to figure out what that is ... maybe you should do yourself a favor and look for a few books, or even magazine articles on engine swaping before you get neck deep into it ... the more informed you are, the easier it can be to make decisions ...

Well a chevy 350 with auto tranny is the simplest for me. I know that engine inside out.. Just hope the tranny will fit good under the path?

Worst thing is i want the steering auto shift not floor so this could make some serious complictaions. I am gonna do it none the less if the buyer comes for the engine! If not later this year and will sell the engine tranny exhaust sure that will not be hard to move.

I am seeking the SAS parts out as of now so if anyone comes across the gear please drop me a line...

may I ask why you want that? and secondly ... are you expecting things to just fit up? cause I'll be the first to say that it will not ... you will have to bend, grind, cut, weld, re-cut, and measure a million different things ... if you are most comfortable with the 350 and tranny ... then it seems that you need to just get to it ... there are no right and wrong answers to your questions, just right and wrong ways to do things ... just be sure to take your time, expect the unexpected and have a little fun with it ... :cool2:

I am looking at a 83 toyota diesel landcruiser 4 door wagon! 32 inch tires etc,,,

I have lost my mind with the Pathfinder. Wanna keep it I know the swap would be a gong show but i got all the links around town. Drive shaft specialists for making me new stuff and the tranny ect fit well i weld machine and play all the time with CUSTOM stuff the trick word is custom!

I was going to keep the pathy in the corner and play wtih over a 6 month period till it was driveable but i am selling it... I will get another sooner or later newer most likely and immidiatley bust it apart when i got a extra space in the shop!
