I've seen so many different numbers for this that I am now highly confused... my Haynes manual says .052 but I've seen everything from .035 to .060...

NGK iridium plugs, just want to know what it SHOULD be, lol

well first off .060 is freakin huge! even .050 is a little big for many vehicles.

The spec is on here but its hard to find so here you go.

MPFI gap .032" (anywhere in .030-.036 will work)

TBI gap .044" (anywhere in .042- .047 will work)

Thanks a lot :) Lol, re-reading what I put, I realize I said my haynes manual says .052, not .032... doh. No, I've just seen so many different numbers thrown about that I wasn't certain which was right :)

I have them gapped to .035 atm, so I'll close them up a tad :)

They are fine, .003" won't make any real difference. All you risk doing is damaging the iridium tips. IIRC you are only supposed to check gap with a brass wire set, not steel...
