slade420
The venerable Cummins 4bt would be sweet in a WD for sure, but the transmission and T-case that one would have to use to mate to one would be an awful tight squeeze, unless maybe you used a 4L60 and a NP231 from an s-10 or something, then who knows if it would handle it... it would be a tight squeeze for sure. Maybe some day when its on 1 ton axles haha. There is an old transfer case i want to use for a mud truck at the Local JY, its a NP200 from the 50's gear driven, no chain. from a 3/4 ton dodge military truck oh and theres a video on youtube with a 3.9 4bt in a rat rod. very neat
gv280z
Hurray for Chrysler / Dodge Corp. for opening the door to small light duty diesel engines in the U. S. of A-MARE-RICCA! Yes! Check it!: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/02/14/ram-to-build-only-light-duty-diesel-pickup/?intcmp=features Now that Dodge has done this, the others are going to have to compete once they see it take off. Finally we're going to get to have the small torquey diesel engines they have overseas.
