When everything is off(t-belt vib-damp)is cam seal replacement straightforward? Pull old seal out grease new the new one and install with a socket a little bit smaller than the diameter of new seal then reassemble? Just make sure there's nothing I'm missing because Chilton is vague at best for describing installation of new camshaft seal.

It's pretty easy and straight forward. The only thing that is a pain is torquing the cam pulley bolt as everything wants to rotate. a second set of hands is invaluable for that. Also, when removing the old seal, tap it in first to break it loose, then gently pry it out. DO NOT damage the aluminum or you will be sorry...

or you can insert a screwdriver through the hole of the pulley to prevent it from rotating

I used a socket extension thru the hole of the cam sprocket to me it worked better; also use a small pick to pull the cam seal out with...
