885SPD
I am new to the Pathfinder group! Just got an 88 Pathfinder 5-SPD V-6. I have an optima installed but it has a massive drain on it. The Alternator is very suspect, it varies too much in voltage and seems as though the voltage regulator is gone! I have heard of it before on other vehicles, could this be my drain? I am trying to get a heads up before I start diagnosing this vehicle. I have only had it for 2 days, so any input would be very welcome!
nunya
I actully ended up taking my Optima out, but I had a drain that ended up for some odd reason dissapearign when I replaced the rear window release switch. Had to disconnect EVERYTHING and plug stuff in on ething at a time and wait overnight to see if I was goeing to start or catch it in gear. Of course my drain came after a dash swap so who knerw what all was good in that one to start with. I hate electrical...

885SPD
Got it! It was the alternator! Spent 2 days removing all emissions! MUCH better!
