ItsTheBone
Does anyone know what this thing is and how i remove it? It's on the right hand side of the transmission. That could be the inhibitor switch: "also called neutral safety switch at the transmission." -rasmataz I traced the inhibitor switch wires right back to that part in your pic. Well there's that part and a few others very similar in that location with a couple wires going into them. Why do you want to remove it?

Indigent
You shouldn't have to cut ANY wires. All of the wires that connect to the tranny just go up the passenger side of the engine and connect just behind the battery. All you do is disconnect the wires there and drop them down to the ground. No cutting necessary.
