Harvey
... something that has just come to my mind which I haven't thought about before [and suddently realise that potentially I should!] is.... are the gear ratios the same for the petrol and diesel engined WD21 models? And, as I'm about to embark on a petrol to diesel engine swap will I actually need to change my ratios if they are different? Thanks Longfield
MY1PATH
you won't need to change your ratios. they may or may not be differant bit it will not effect your swap. If you want to know there should be a data plate under the hood and its last line will read somthing like; "HG43" = 4.3:1 GEARS or "HG46" = 4.6:1 GEARS
Precise1
According to this, they could either be the same or 4.8?? Very close, unless you have the 4.3 set. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20182&hl= Hope it helps. NZ, get your butt over here!!
