Rear-End Noise on a 96 4x4

I have a 96 4x4 with about 95K on it. It has never been off-roaded. Lately, when I take off making a right or left turn (in 2WD mode), I get a weird noise and it seems like the rear end is sliding out. I just replaced the Rear differential fluid with 80W-90 and I don't hear any sounds at any speeds. I have driven as hard as 90mph and it drives great. Curious to know if anyone has a clue.

Also, what is a good gas mileage for a Pathfinder, I am getting about 20mpg.

Lastly, does anyone know where all the lube points are on 96?

Thanks,

If you can, get a "Haynes Manual". I've been getting about 20 mpg. Does your Pathy have LSD (limited slip diff)? There should be a little orange sticker on the diff. If you changed the lube and your diff is LSD and you used a lube w/o LSD additive you may be in trouble.
