Body Lift Trouble...

Recommended Posts

I am in the process of installing my Performance Accessories 3" body lift on my 95 XE , and have ran into a bit of confusion. The instructions say to remove the fan shroud but doesn't say anything about putting it back in. It confuses me because the radiator goes up but the fan stays in the same place. Another thing is the steering shaft.... It says something about tapping out the lining up splines on shaft and steering box. then to tap shaft onto box, replace bolt and tighten. I am working on this with my friend who knows quite a bit about trucks but the way they word the instructions in this particular part is kinda puzzling us... Any advice or help on this would be very appreciated.... Thanks

I took off the fan shroud and reinstalled it after the lift was complete, I had to trim a small amount off to keep the fan from hitting it but no big deal. Reinstall to see where to trim then take it off trim it up and reinstall it. I didn't have any probs with the steering shaft, as I lifted the body it just slid out where it needed to be
