Exhaust?

Okay so I have a old thrush glass pack on my pathy and I'm thinking of getting a new one and want to run a straight pipe with side dump pipe that dumps out under the rear driver side door.I posted this on another forum under the wrong gen pathy and I was told that the glass pack is not a spark arrester and is illegal by the forest service and I could get a fine.

I have never heard of this other then on dirt bikes and ATV's.

It's a tight job trying to tuck the tailpipe before the rear wheel, I can tell you that much....

edit: after seeing your other post about this, no there is no issues with heat from the pipe(at least I haven't had any) since it is partially the path it normally takes. Theres a couple people on here with duals that I can't recollect them saying any issues of that matter either. And I personally don't know about the strait through muffler issue, not the style I have, sorry.
