Tsingson Posted December 30, 2008 Share Posted December 30, 2008 hey guys. im new to this forum but very familiar with car forums altogether. but i tried to search the forum for a place to tap into the vacuum line to install an autometer vacuum gauge but i didnt get the results i needed. im hoping someone can enlighten me and please help me out with any information. and i do apologize for being a total noob. Tsingson Posted December 30, 2008 Author Share Posted December 30, 2008 no rhyme no reason. actually with the age of my truck and mileage i wanted to kinda keep a close eye on the internals of the engine. just wanted to know if anyone knew where i could tap into to install this line. argo Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 The best place to install your guage is where it will read manifold vacume.[like biteme says] As vacume drops , fuel consumption increases. This makes the vacume guage THE most reliable means of reading your fuel consumption [in a carburated system.
