so i want a roof rack, what you got?

hey, GG, do you trust that basket being on your stock rack? i just picked up the same roof rack at a pick n pull and installed it today with my dad's help. idk how much i trust its strength. seems kinda flimsy aluminum to me. i don't plan on using mine that much anyway. lol.

 

The stock rack bars won't stay tight, so it slides front to back a lot on me, otherwise it works OK up there. I've packed it full of stuff a couple times and strapped ladders to it and had no troubles. My eventual plan is to cut the back end off the roof and build a custom roll cage with canvas top back there and the basket mounted above the canvas....eventually....
