It's a 2002 pathy 3.5 V6. i have replaced the starter on my 90 pathy. but have no clue on how to go about with this one. can any one help me? Fukinitupagain Posted September 6, 2008 Share Posted September 6, 2008 I don't know about the 3.5's but my starter died back in April & I switched that out in like an hour. It wasn't that hard, kind of like an altenator. But like I said I don't know if the 3.5 is that much different. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
keelhaul Posted September 6, 2008 Share Posted September 6, 2008 I had mine out when I did my clutch on my 2002. It wasn't too hard to get the 3 bolts(2 from back and 1 from front). I only pulled it clear of bellhousing and it was a pain moving it around and lining it back up. I also had the tranny mount removed and tranny lowered but I don't think that made starter removal easier or harder. I think it could be a DIY but You will probably swear a bit. For the top bolt from the front I used 2 feet of extension starting from under the rad support. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
