FindingPath3184
Hello, I have a 94 Pathfinder and lately I have been getting a loud humming noise that I that I think could be from my tranny or the engine? Here are the symptoms and what I've done so far. I first noticed it when I was driving and the humming noise is pretty much in sync with the automatic tranny shifting gears. So I'm thinking its my tranny, maybe I need to add so tranny fluid or something? But then I put it in park and rev the engine and I can still hear the humming noise, not as loud as with the tranny in Drive but I can still here it. Underneath the car I notice that there is a fluid leaking right where the tranny connects to the engine...I don't think its motor oil because it doesn't smell like it...so I'm thinking that it could be transmission fluid. However I checked the level of my transmission fluid and it seems to be fine. Any thoughts on what it could be?? Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks. Precise1
I don't know the autotrannys, so sorry, I can't help. lgranch knows them well, but is AWOL. There are a few others who are handy, 88pathoffroad, for one. Try PM or maybe they will see this. MWS, perhaps? Someone, anyone, Bueler??
