Just got a 87'pathfinder not in too bad a condition, and for only $300 i was stoked exept for when my mate rolled up in it, it had oil poring from under it. At first i thort it was engine oil but the smell was so bad ya still smell it at the front of the driveway. This is my first 4bie and im so keen to get it going (plus its got a couple months rego) and take it for a strap. I've checked every where i can see without taking the box off and cant find much exept, its coming from where the box meets the engine. Is there any plugz or seals up around the top that i should look for?. any info or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Probably your input shaft seal on the tranny.. its done in my 87, i gotta fill her up every few trips.. its gonna get changed soon.. its a 14 dollar part, but if your IFS.. its a big job.

I'm solid axle and don't have to drop any suspension components or cross members.
