jitterymonkey
Finally a nice enough day to take my glass completely out. However,I noticed that the rubber was getting hard. Also when I put it back together it didn't seem to fit quite right. Did a search on here but there's 11 pages of sunroof posts and I'm Kinda lazy. It's gonna rain tomorrow and I'm afraid it might leak. Heard Armor all and really anything petrol based will damage the rubber. So what can I use to try and save this gasket or help protect my new one?
GhostPath
You can use a plastic protectant/reconditioner. These put plasticizer back into the plastic and protect it against UV. These are sold in auto parts stores now. I'm partial to Black Magic's Pro Shine Protectant.
Simon
Yep...Black Magic stuff is awesome. The protectants are always no water formula, which means they won't dry out, and crack your dash, or anything else you apply it to.
