russkigreg
Hey all, Have a problem with my Terrano's automatic transmission - it doesn't want to shift past third gear. Engaging or disengaging overdrive has no effect either. It is the stock four speed with overdrive box. Took it to an automatic transmission specialist and they said there's nothing wrong with the box itself - more likely to be the ECU/ECM in the vehicle. Any ideas? Also, where is the ECU/ECM in a 92, there's a silver box under the driver's seat...? Ta, Russ
TerranoNZ
1 question 2 door or 4 door? The 2 door auto ECU is mounted behind the plastic panels in line with the rear seat on the right hand side. Where the rear door would be on a 4 door (Don't know where it is in a 4 door) The box under YOUR drivers seat is the ECU for the engine. (IIRC Russki's have the steering wheel on the RIGHT side of the Truck) Hope someone else might be able to help you more

Ta, Russ Hi Russ, I have had a 1993 and a currently own a 1992 Pathy SE, both had to have trannys replaced unfortunately. So I have to agree with Packie88, you may need a new trans.
