Dash Lighting Fading Away

Just curious is anyone has gone through this yet. I live in a dry area, but during xmas I went home to an extremely humid place, and perhaps coincidentally my speedobulb and odometer bulb would not illuminate, and shortly after that the fan/heat/climate dials went out. Now that I'm home, everything works, but the fan dials are still dark. I pulled off the centre console bezel, disconnected the plugs, cleaned them (already spotless) and put them back together with some dialectic grease. Still nothing. The unit itself doesn't look like it will want to come out, or apart. Are the bulbs replacable, or do you think its a bigger problem?

I have almost ALL of the interior plastic pieces out since I was installing a stereo, and I have noticed more than what I would consider normal for condensation, and found myself getting wet from it on occasion. Probably mostly the -42 - +5 we've had lately.

I have had issues on and off ( :crossedwires: ) with lights for a while, including one side of the instrument panel gauge lights not working (speedo and temp) and the right low beam not working.

To fix the headlight issue, they had to replace the daylight control module. This little box beside the battery controls most of the lighting in the truck, so I am told. I hope it clears up the dash light issue as well, only time will tell (the dash lights have been working for the last few months).

You may be having issues with your little lighting box as well.

Cost to fix? (I am sure someone will ask): The box was almost $300 plus the labour time to diagnose, total with PST/GST was close to $600.

Left half of my climate controls only light up sporadically, but I assumed I loosened the wire when I had the dash off a few weeks ago since thats more or less when the problem sprung up.

My daytime running light module died about two weeks after I bought the Pathfinder, and it cost me about $600.

On the topic of lighting... I had an Autostart installed today and my headlights will not turn off once the engine is off, unless I use the factory door remote, or turn the switch off. Also, my interior lights are coming on while going down the road occasionally, but no open-door indicator shows up... They wrecked my car.
