New member here with a real dumb question(s)

Hi,

 

I have a 90 pathfinder sev6. (btw I know 0 about automotive stuff). I'm wondering if you experienced guys can tell me what is the MAX tires I can put on the stock 15inch rims?

My friend said 31/10.5 someone else said 31/11.5, some told me none of those, some told me it can go bigger. I just want the biggest, fattest tires I can put on my stock rims.

 

Also I see that my stock rims are solid chrome. Would it make sense to get different rims if needed?

 

I'm slowly getting this pathy into shape to go off roading (my cousin is doing the labor). So far changed the compression rods with new ones straight from Nissan dealer. All 4 shocks with monroe sensatrac(I know I could have chosen better). Original ones where dead, the new ones I swear it look like it gave it a quicky tiny lift.

 

What are other quick things I can do on my own to get performance? I seen on ebay they have performance chips for the pathy. I thought of getting one but after researching people claim it is not a chip but some radio shack 1.00$ resistor.

 

Anyone have parts for it for sale and are in nj/ny let me know, thanks

yea, 31x10.5 will fit fine. you might need to crank up on the t-bars if they sagged at all. those performance chips are bs. dont fall for that crap. the how-to section is your god right now. go read the hell out if it.
