Fuel/temp Gauge Fix

I've got the same Fuel/Temp problem. Attempted the quick 2 min fix and pulled out the dash cluster but did not see any box. Is it supposed to be under the dash. I know there's that spot where all the harnesses come together, is that where it's burried? If anyone has a picture or a better description it would help out a great deal. I'm planning to snag one at the wrecker and want to make it a relatively quick in and out. Thanks for the help and advice, this site is a huge timesaver.

no, you need the voltage regulator on the back side of the cluster. its a silver box with 3 wires. what i did was went to a electrical supply store and bought another 5v voltage regulator and soldered the wires onto that to replace the stock faulty one. voila! 2 dollar fix! or you can buy a new one from the dealer for like 25-30 bucks or something.
