QXRover
I did a search and did not see anything specific to this. I have a 2002 QX4 with 17" rims. I have a chance to buy at a good discounted price some 285/70R17 BFG AT KO tires. They are 8% over the range recommended. Will they fit under the fenders and will I get to steering lock on the fronts without rubbing? Thanks Len
Simon
You won't fit them without a lift, and aftermarket rims. The width will be an issue with stock offset rims, as you'll rub on the strut. They're almost a 33" tire, and, for comparison, with a 2" lift, Pezzy's only running 31" tires. You'd need at least that lift and new rims to fit the tires and still be able to drive the truck
FUELER
For comparison, i'm running 265/75/16 tires which equate to 31.6" on my stock suspension QX4 and I had to do a lot of trimming to make it work. The rear i had to cut sheetmetal and hollow out the QX4 fender flares, which are now held on with zip ties, and it still rubs, i still have more cutting to do. No going back now. QXRover
Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I will pass on those tires as I have a trailer queen, so do not need to heavily mod my Q. And Simon, there would be a beneft though in having a taller truck than Carrie. Deeper mud! :tonguefinger:
Pezzy
yeah, don't worry, I can still haul his ass out of the holes when he gets stuck too
